Come on a guided and well-maintained wilderness hike to the Tavastia Lake Uplands! On a hike, we enjoy the beautiful scenery and diverse nature of the Häme Ilvesreitti Trail, relax by listening to the sounds of nature and occasionally sit on a rock to enjoy the pure silence!

Our hike starts at 10 am from the parking lot of Räyskälä Aviation Centre, where we will guide you to the nearby hiking trail start point. There, tents and bedding are packed in the organizer's car. Next we take our backpacks and hike about 3.5 km, to the Lake Iso-Melkutin lean-to. During our leg, our overnight stay equipment have been transported by van to the lean-to, and a camping lunch is prepared for us!

After lunch we continue our journey by first following the hiking trail around the Iso-Melkutin, where we turn right through an easy-to-reach forest to the south towards the Purinsuo swamp area.

The distance from Iso-Melkutin to Purinsuo is about 4 km. At the destination, we will take a tour of the swamp and explore its diverse nature. After that we follow our arrival route back north. At Pikarinmäki, we take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee and a packed lunch.

Back to the Iso-Melkutin we pass through the other lean-to's, which are located on the stump between the Iso-Melkutin and the smaller lake Ylä-Mylly. On the loft, we set the campfire on fire, brew coffee and roast sausages. After that, we will continue for about 2 kilometres to our overnight base at the western end of the lake.

After returning to our base, we set up the tents together and prepare for the dinner. After dinner, we stock up on equipment, fry pancakes, and have a bonfire, then retire to a well-deserved night's rest!

The morning wake up is at 8, and right from the start we enjoy a ready-made breakfast. Then we disassemble the camp and pack the equipment in the van. Finally, we'll hike back to the parking area where the hike ends at about 10.30.
